Dermal Fillers

By offering dermal fillers such as Restylane®, JUVÉDERM®, Perlane®, and Prevelle®, Dr. Robinson is able to eliminate wrinkles and nasolabial folds, and augment lips.

DR. ROBINSON: Every time we turn the corner there’s another new filler out there. The ones that are the work horses right now would be the Restylane and the Juvederm, Perlane, Provel. They’re all basically what’s called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of our skin just like collagen and ellastin. And what the beauty of this is is they can make it in a lab and make it so it’s natural. We don’t reject it; it looks just like our normal hyaluronic acid does to our body. And we can use it to fill in the nasal labial folds, to augment lips, sometimes to fill in little acne scars, those types of things. That you definitely do in the office, you’re out in five minutes. There’s no down time with it. And it’s a natural and it just slowly absorbs and goes away over time. I think we get some of our best lifts now with this prop. Use to have collagen which is a little thicker and lumpier and there was a certain amount of patients who actually were allergic to it. And you could get a very bad allergic response, but with this, it’s just never been documented, it doesn’t happen. So it’s very safe. We do all the fillers. We have ever filler that’s essentially available on the market that we use here. And we, what’s nice about that is we can customize it to what you really need. It’s not uncommon that we’ll be doing a little Dysport, some Provel, some Restylane and some Sculptra all at the same time. And again, because we’re going to not be a hammer and everything looks like a nail. We always in my practice customize everything to what you exactly need, not to what I just happen to have on the shelf or what I am just happy to be trained in doing.
