Worried about freckles, age spots, acne or rosacea?  Let us introduce you to BBL Corrective Therapy.  Broadband Light Therapy, or BBL, is a ground-breaking cosmetic procedure that uses light energy to enhance the appearance of the skin.  This innovative treatment is available at Visage Skin Care & Laser Center, a division of Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery, in our Alpharetta location for our patients that would like to improve their skin and treat a variety of skin conditions without surgery.  BBL offers yet another effective choice for men and women in search of cosmetic procedures that offer excellent results without discomfort and little downtime.  BBL restores your skin to its natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, vibrant and younger looking.

About BBL Corrective Therapy

BBL gently heats the surface of the skin to reduce the appearance of vascular lesions, age spots and other types of pigmentation irregularities.  It can also provide long-lasting anti-aging benefits, due to its ability to stimulate the body’s own collagen production.

BBL effectively restores skin to its youthful state of health and vitality, while minimizing minor blemishes that can take their toll on your appearance.

Who is a Good Candidate for BBL?

BBL is appropriate for most skin tones and can be performed on adult patients of any age.  BBL offers solutions for the following skin concerns:

  • Freckles, Age Spots & Hyperpigmentation
  • Vascular Lesions & Facial Veins
  • Small Blood Vessels & Rosacea
  • Acne
  • Sun Damage & Early Signs of Aging
  • Uneven Skin Texture & Tone

The procedure may be performed alone or in combination with other cosmetic procedures like injectable treatments to further enhance results.

BBL Procedure

BBL is a non-invasive procedure, which means it does not involve any incisions, anesthesia or recovery time.  A handheld device is used to deliver light energy to the skin, which involves minimal discomfort.  Patients report a warm sensation as the light penetrates the skin to work in the lower layers of tissue.  Most BBL treatments take just a few minutes to complete unless the treatment area is large (like the back) or multiple treatment areas are to be addressed in a single treatment session.

BBL Recovery & Results

There is minimal downtime required after a BBL treatment, so you can return to your daily schedule as soon as the procedure is over.  The skin may appear slightly red immediately following treatment, but this typically subsides within a few hours.  Pigmentations treated with the device will often darken in the days following the procedure, before flaking away from the skin completely.  You will notice your skin feels firmer and smoother, while enlarged pores and fine lines will be visibly reduced.  Regular BBL treatments are usually recommended to achieve the best possible results, with treatment sessions spaced a number of months apart.

At Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery, our priority is YOU, the patient. We look forward to helping you!
