When it comes to choosing a plastic surgeon for your aesthetic enhancements, you cannot be too careful. After all, the skill and experience of that professional is going to determine the success of your outcome. There are many good reasons why patients in the Alpharetta and Atlanta areas continue to make Dr. Burke Robinson their facial plastic surgeon of choice. With ample experience and impeccable credentials, Dr. Robinson proves he is the surgeon that can deliver the results you are looking for.

Double Board Certification

Dr. Robinson believes that “giving a person back their youthful appearance with facial rejuvenation or correcting a minor cosmetic flaw is a privilege.” To ensure his patients receive the highest standard of care and the best possible results, Dr. Robinson became double board-certified. His certifications from the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) make him uniquely qualified to treat patients with a wide range of facial aesthetic concerns.

Dr. Robinson believes his double certification indicates his complete commitment to his practice and discipline. It also assures his patients that Dr. Robinson is dedicated to providing the most innovative, effective procedures and techniques to provide his patients with safe, effective aesthetic solutions.

Other Qualifications

Double board-certification isn’t the only feature that lets patients know Dr. Robinson is a top choice in plastic surgeons in Georgia. His other qualifications include:

  • Serves as one of five plastic surgeons in the country to sit on the Oral Examination Review Committee for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Consistently asked to serve as an examiner for the annual American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) examination in Washington D.C.
  • Nationally recognized as an expert in facial plastic surgery by both peers and patients
  • Serves as a national trainer for Galderma’s portfolios of injectables including the unique product Sculptra
  • Published in a broad array of professional trade publications and journals

  • Accredited by a number of organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American College of Surgeons, Medical Association of Georgia, American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the National Board of Medical Examiners

Fellowship through AAFPRS

After his schooling, Dr. Robinson continued his education with a fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Dr. Burke’s acceptance into this fellowship is one he is particularly proud of since the competition for membership in the AAFPRS Fellowships is among the most competitive. His one-year fellowship consisted of training one-on-one with Dr. Devinder S. Mangat, a renowned facial plastic surgeon. The fellowship allowed Dr. Robinson to focus solely on facial plastic surgery, a unique feature of this particular plastic surgery fellowship.

Research Experience

Throughout his academic career and his 20+ years in professional practice, Dr. Robinson has participated in a host of medical research. His most noted work occurred between 1988 and 1989 when he researched as a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Grant Research Fellow.

During these years, Dr. Robinson served as the primary researcher in determining the optimum microscopic pore size in the conduction of new bone formation through a special mix of a polymerized lactic acid matrix. The findings in this study were instrumental in enhancing surgical procedures of the facial skeleton.

Patient Philosophy

Today, Dr. Robinson devotes his time to seeing and treating patients at his Atlanta and Alpharetta offices, where he provides a wide range of surgical and non-surgical procedures to help his patients meet their aesthetic goals. He has been voted “most compassionate” doctor by patients for five years on Vitals.com, a recognition he takes to heart as he strives to provide the highest standard of care and compassion to all of his patients. He has also received top honors from patients at Realself.com.

Dr. Robinson’s primary goal is to offer “subtle but effective” results consistently to all of his patients. His overall philosophy is that “Patients come in as new patients for something they are self-conscious about and would like to change or remove what that is without creating something new that now continues to make them self-conscious”.

As he works with patients, he develops relationships with them that extend well into the future. Patients frequently stop by Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery just to say “hello” and let Dr. Robinson know how much they continue to enjoy their plastic surgery results.

Surgical Procedures

Dr. Robinson specializes in facial plastic surgery, which means his days are spent performing the same procedures time and time again. This has allowed him to hone and perfect his techniques in the following surgical procedures:

  • Eyelid surgery
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Facelift
  • Chin and cheek augmentation
  • Brow Lift
  • Deep Skin Resurfacing
  • Ear Pinning

All of Dr. Robinson’s procedures are performed at Northside Hospital’s outpatient surgery centers as well as at Atlanta Outpatient Surgery Center. All facilities are accredited, use Board Certified Anesthesiologists, and offer patients all of the services and care they require for safe and successful procedures.

Visage Skin Care Center

Dr. Robinson also oversees Visage Skin Care Center, a division of Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery. At Visage, Dr. Robinson and his staff perform a variety of non-surgical treatments, including:

  • Injectable treatments like Botox and dermal fillers

These procedures, which are all performed on an outpatient basis, address a host of skin concerns and conditions, including acne, rosacea, pigmentation irregularities and signs of aging. Most procedures involve little or no discomfort or downtime, but patients may need to repeat their treatments at regular intervals to ensure they are able to maintain their positive results.
