More about Ivette

Ivette Ballara has always been passionate about caring for skin, whether through cosmetic or medical practices. After graduating from the University of South Florida, Magna Cum Laude in 2005, with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Ivette began her career in dermatology. Eager to dig more into the science behind skin, Ivette grew her career from dermatology into plastic surgery, with an emphasis on enhancement and rejuvenation of the face by using cosmetic injectables.

When approaching her clients, Ivette focuses on achieving optimal, natural results.  “First, I ask what my clients goals are,” Ivette explains, “Then I not only strive to meet these goals, but also educate my clients on how the facial muscles work in relation to cosmetic injectables.”  Ivette is pleased to say that many of her existing clients seem like close family members to her.  “Similar to finding that right dentist or other doctor you connect with and always want to go to,” she says, “that’s how the relationship is with my clients. I have some who have been coming to me for years and I’ve seen their kids grow up.”  As a result, her day often feels as if it is spent with good friends. When asked to describe what a typical day looks like, Ivette explains in one word: fun.  “It’s fun for me to wake up each day and know I’m going to be working with people who feel like life-long, loyal friends,” she says. “Few people have that feeling about their job.”

Recently on-boarded to the Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery team, Ivette is excited to explore the wide breadth of injectable and filler options at the practice.  “While some clients may prefer specific injectables while others are open to try new ones, it’s important to have a wide variety in stock to ensure client’s goals are met,” says Ivette.  Among the team’s portfolio of injectables and fillers includes Botox & Dysport, Sculptra, Restylane & Juvederm family of fillers, among others.

With her background in dermatology, Ivette helps clients achieve their skincare results with cosmetic solutions partnered with skincare recommendations from the team’s Assistant Laser Practitioner & Licensed Esthetician, Heather Davis, LE. After all, cosmetic solutions are important, but the right skin treatment is equally important for achieving and maintaining optimal results.  “Caring for your skin beginning at an early age is critical,” says Ivette. “If clients could only choose two products to use each day, I’d recommend a sunscreen and a tretinoin product,” Ivette says.  Sunscreen is critical for reducing sun damage, a leading cause of premature fine lines and wrinkles. Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery offers a variety of medical-grade sunscreen solutions, such as Colorescience, Revisions, and EltaMD. Tretinoin is found in Retin-A/Retinol solutions, which promote anti-aging and cell turnover, and are also available at Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery’s arsenal of anti-aging skin care products.

As a fluent Spanish speaker and member of the Dermatology Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses, Ivette is excited to bring her advanced techniques and extensive experience to Robinson Facial Plastic Surgery.
